OUR FIRM MANAGEMENT

Joe is the CEO of Advance Capital Management, he has overall operational responsibility for the firm in addition to managing the financial professionals. A licensed CPA and former public accountant, he joined Advance Capital in 2000. Joe is active with the Michigan Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He has served in his current role since 2012.

Prior to joining the firm, he was the CFO of Detroit Edge Tool Company and Cardinal Automotive. A graduate of the University of Michigan-Dearborn with a degree in Business Administration and a major in Accounting, he received his degree in 1984. Outside of the office, Joe enjoys spending time with his wife and two children and playing golf and hockey. He is also an avid reader.

As Chief Investment Officer, Chris directs the strategy and structure of the discretionary model portfolios and leads the investment committee. He joined Advance Capital in 1993 and was appointed President of Advance Capital Management, Inc. in 2004. Chris earned his degree in Finance from Michigan State University and an MBA from Wayne State University.

Prior to joining Advance Capital in 1990, Kathy worked in Treasury at Michigan Bell. Kathy is responsible for oversight of the Regulatory and Compliance functions. In 2004, she received the CRCP designation from the Wharton/FINRA Certified Regulatory and Compliance Program.

Julie earned her degree in Finance from Oakland University and Masters degree in Accounting from Walsh College. She joined Advance Capital in 1995 as V.P. of Finance. Julie is responsible for financial and regulatory reporting as well as the Accounting and Finance functions.

Tim is responsible for the technological direction of the company and leading a team that implements all information technology operations. He brings over two decades of professional IT experience and leadership with emphasis on strategy and data quality.

Tim graduated summa cum laude from the University of Michigan-Dearborn with a degree in Business Administration and a major in Management Information Systems. Outside the office, he is an avid tennis player who also enjoys travel, roller coasters, and quality time with family and friends.

Jennifer is responsible for all marketing plans and activities for the firm. She brings more than 25 years of experience, specializing in digital technologies and content marketing.

Jennifer graduated with university honors from Carnegie Mellon University with a B.A. in Professional Writing and a concentration in graphic design. Outside of the office, she loves to travel and explore the world with her family.
